INSTRUCTIONS and HELP What can I do with Text Animator? Text Animator allows you to create 20 different text animations for your webpages. Make scrollers, tickers, cursor trailers, marquees, text rings and much more without programming a single line of code. Setting font-attributes, styles, size and speed, links, targets and much more requires no programming skills at all. You can view, check and edit all effects while you are creating them. Text Animator generates the finished code for your personalized text animations. Paste the code into your webpage according to the instructions and you are ready to impress your visitors. How do I start? Type your first two or three messages into the text-field on top of the tool (click button 'add' after each message). Then select a text animation with the blue drop down menu (also on top of the tool). Then add more messages and/or edit the settings of your animation such as colors, links, targets, font-attributes, alignments and much more. Click button 'edit' if you want to delete or edit certain messages. Click button 'delete' if you want to start all over again. How can I change colors? Click any small colorized rectangle on the left to open our color wizard on top of the tool. Configure your color by dragging the red, green and blue color-bar-handles. Or put the RGB or hexadecimal triplet values into the fields (if you do so click button 'show'). Finally click button 'select' to apply your color to your font or background or border. How do I retrieve the code for my animation? If you are pleased with your animation click button 'code'. This will open a new pop-up-window. It contains the finished code for your animation. Click button 'select all' and copy the code. How do I paste the code into my webpage? Open the webpage that will display your animation (any a HTML-file). Use a simple texteditor such as WordPad or NotePad. Word, GoLive, Dreamweaver or Frontpage are not recommende for this task. Now read the instructions inside the code-popup-window carefully. They tell you how you have to paste your code into your webpage. After pasteing the code into your webpage save the webpage as HTML-file and upload it to your host. Can I put more than one animation into my webpage? No, you can not. If you want to display more than one animation you have to use framesets and put them into different frames. My animation is very slow. What can I do? Reduce the size of your messages. Some animations prefer short messages (cursor trailer, flying messages, text rapper, text ring). IMPORTANT: Text Animator requires IE 5.5 or higher (windows). |
